The Site is Alive in 2025
Today marks the quiet relaunch of something deeply personal: this music site. It’s a home for my songs, stories, and everything that happens in the messy, magical process of creating music.
I’m revisiting my love of music production, songwriting, and playing. Not from scratch, but from somewhere far richer, a life lived with melody always in the background. Some of these songs go all the way back to 1985. One in particular, More Than I Can Show, I wrote in 1993 for the girl who became my wife. I don’t have a digital recording of it, just the lyrics in my head and a cassette tape I can’t seem to find. But the memory of it still plays loud and clear.
I’ve written over 20 songs fully through the years, but never fully produced or published them. Until now.
A New Chapter, Inspired by the Next Generation
In some ways, this site is also for my son, Noah Jomar. He’s 18 now and started releasing his own music two years ago. He’s carving his own sound in hip hop, and I’m incredibly proud of him. As a dad, it’s not always easy to tell your kid what to do creatively, so instead, I’m showing him. By relaunching this site, I hope he sees what’s possible when you honour your voice and share it.
And maybe, just maybe, he’ll start documenting his own journey too, capturing his process, his growth, and his sound.
What This Journal Will Be
This journal will follow all aspects of my songwriting and production. I’ll share the stories behind the songs, what sparked them, who they’re about, and how they’ve evolved. I’ll also post tips and reflections from my home studio and highlight the people who’ve helped shape the music. That includes friends, mentors, and fellow performers and writers.
I’ll be journaling my journey of producing and publishing songs from my past for the first time, as well as creating new songs and new collaborations.
The aim is to give listeners and fans a deeper dimension to the music. I want to let you in on the process, not just the product.
A Soundtrack Worth Leaving Behind
I’ve always had a deep affinity for R&B, Soul, Rock, and ballads. My songs often begin on a steel-string guitar or a piano and grow into something bigger, a groove, a mood, a message. I make music because it helps me feel more alive. Now that this site is live again, I look forward to having a place where that feeling can live on, even after I’m gone.
Whether this journey takes me to unexpected heights or simply builds a small but meaningful audience, I know this: if I love the process and connect with others through it, that is more than enough.
I dedicate this site to my son, Noah Jomar. May your music take you everywhere your heart dares to go. And may you always remember: the joy of creating is the real reward.
